Here are some of the toms weve taken this season. My son EJ Prince got his first longbeard this year at 7 years old. 23 lb bird 10 an 1/2 beard. I got my first triple beard this year. Some harvested with calls and decoys. Later in the month we found it more effective to let the zinc avian x decoys do the work without any calling which proved effective twice in a row. Good luck to everyone out....
My first triple beard turkey to date. I harvested this bird with the help of my Godfather Singelton Bailey. With the assistance of Zinc Avian x decoys. The bird weighed 21 and a half pounds 11 inch main beard 1 and 1/4 inch spurs.
Spring time is a time of high winds and frequent fronts. Typically harsh SE winds blow good water in certain estuaries bringing in plenty bait fish with predators fish like the speckled trout to be waiting eagerly to eat up getting nutrients for the their spawning season. If you are going to wait around this time of year for perfect calm and sunny....
I was able to win my 3rd and final SC State Duck Calling Championship and 'Champion of Champions' during the recent Winyah Bay Heritage Festival. I can't thank everyone enough who has supported me and I know Butch Richenback is smiling down on me. #icallforbutch
Pretty sure it's the new SC state record nwtf verified just has to be processed scored 168 atypical 7 beards measuring 57.75' his daggers are 1 10/16' and he's weighed in at 20.4 lbs. If you are looking for a Lake Pontchartrain report, well it’s the same ole story as every year in the spring. The trestle is extremely crowded, the river systems are extremely high, the wind is howling but the specks are biting. The annual run of specks is happening across all the bridges in Pontchartrain as usual but the trout have been way below....

SALTT held a “bass only” tournament that only those who dared fish in what was expected to be a rainy day got rewarded with dry skies. Every boat came to the scales with the 5 fish limit. The top 2 teams won gift cards and every angler received a goodie bag from Gander Mountain.
In May I will be vacationing in Myrtle Beach and I'm looking for information on where I can catch some blue catfish. I would prefer to stay within an hour distance of Myrtle Beach. I'm from Minnesota and fish flatheads and channels here but know nothing about blue catfish. I won't have access to a boat and as much as I'd love to get a guide for a day, I just can't afford it. Thank you in....
Once again, Spring Fever is here and the Sheepshead are gathering at R-8. On Wednesday
I had the pleasure of joining Captain Chuck Griffin of Aqua Adventures Charters on a trip to the
reef. It was supposed to be a light South wind less than 10 MPH and 2 ft . The weather report missed it by about
10 mph and 2 feet. It was blowing 20 and it kicked up....
I just wanted to introduce myself as I have a ton of questions I will be posting in preparation for this move to SC.
I am 35 year old and grew up in the Seattle area and love offshore fishing and hunting. I spent 4 years in the USMC, have a black lab that has turned into more of a house dog then a hunting dog because I found I am not fond of freezing my ass off in cold weather for duck....
Georgetown, SC March 5 2016
Student Angler League’s final of 4 trails ended with over $1,000 worth of gift cards up for grabs. Clear skies made it attractive but the compass changing winds made it challenging. In a season where 90% of the fleet targeted the 2 reds, the bass division business picked up.
In the high school bass division, Conway’s Dylan Drew and Colby....
