Coveys are hard to find these days, but if you are persistent and go where the quail are, you will scare up a covey rise.

  • Chase Roebuck with a fine Ehrhardt Squirrel :)
  • Cooking the Squirrels
  • Squirrel with Long Grain Rice
Chase Roebuck is deadly with a .22 rifle in hand. He regularly shoots the base of shotgun shells that are lined up on a 2 x 4 with open sights. I enjoyed an outing in the woods with him to see how he do with a moving critter. Turns out that he is just as deadly with the .22 when the targets move.

Throughout the day we took a mess of tree rats and brought them back to the house to clean them,....  Read More

I went along on a Tower Shoot with my mom where they were shooting pheasant's. It was very different from what I thought a tower shoot would be...and I was also surprised by how pretty these birds actually were. This is a picture of one of the pheasant that my Mom killed on our trip.
