Here are some of the toms weve taken this season. My son EJ Prince got his first longbeard this year at 7 years old. 23 lb bird 10 an 1/2 beard. I got my first triple beard this year. Some harvested with calls and decoys. Later in the month we found it more effective to let the zinc avian x decoys do the work without any calling which proved effective twice in a row. Good luck to everyone out....
My first triple beard turkey to date. I harvested this bird with the help of my Godfather Singelton Bailey. With the assistance of Zinc Avian x decoys. The bird weighed 21 and a half pounds 11 inch main beard 1 and 1/4 inch spurs.
Biggest buck of my life this year. Was fortunate enough to kill this nice 8 after he came in to calling. Had been hunting a bunch of scrapes and has no idea this bruiser was even around the area. He weighed 208lb and grossed 139 5/8
Was lucky enough to take this 8pt this past thursday after the cool front. Was trying to take some does after watching them at about 400yards the day before so i moved stands the next evening and this nice one came out at 5 o'clock chasing a doe.
hey guys, I'm glad to be here ad hope to make new friends,, but I got a few questions? I'm a old trapper from up north in the mountains of ny, trapping here seems to be a whole lot different? Great week of fishing MI last week. Numerous flounder, large croaker, and bluefish. Other than the croaker, most caught on finger mullet on a Carolina rig. Main creeks at feeder creek junctions. Most caught last two hours of out-going tide.
Hello sportsmen. I will be visiting the area n the end of April and looking for a guide- professional or non- to take me and a couple teen age kids (experienced fisherman) on a day or half day fishing trip. Just looking for a great day in the SC outdoors. No real requirements or targeted species. Just looking for something different than Iowa that I can show the boys and we can learn a little....
Today i went fishing for crappie at Lake Busbee in Conway. Using live minnows for bait i caught a few yellow perch before i hooked into something unusual. After a decent fight on light tackle i managed to pull a 17 inch flounder from the freshwater lake. A man walking near by said sometimes they swim up the waccamaw river.... is this possible or did someone just let one go maybe?
The sea trout bite is hot in the Georgetown area, especially in the Mud Bay and Winyah Bay areas. The early morning bite is good with topwater lures like Heddon Saltwater Spooks and Sebile Ghost Walkers.
As the morning bite wanes, anglers are switching to soft plastics like DOA Shrimp and Vudu Shrimp.
Popular colors for both the topwater and soft plastic lures include chartreuse....
Whoooo!! The Long family (Joe, Sam, Matt, Kim, & Kim Long) from Durham, NC, put, a “whopping” on the wahoo over the Easter weekend. They caught five nice wahoo with the biggest going over 60 pounds, plus two blackfin tuna for a nice bonus.
The family was fishing with Capt. Dallas Dellinger and Capt. Ned Rogers of R & R Charters out of Murrells Inlet. The captains said that Easter....
There is more than one way to catch a Murrells Inlet Trout. We captured this female angler catching trout from a paddle board. She was working them over pretty good. Watch your step when a vessel runs past you !!!
