I am 17 years old and from Pelion, SC. I had a great start to the season by getting not one, but two big bucks in Lexington County. I got a 10- point and a 9-point, both in full velvet. The 10-point had a drop tine on the left main beam and had an inside spread of 17 and 1/2 inches and weighed 215 lbs. The 9-point weighed around 150 lbs. I used a Ruger .308.
After a bit of a slow start to the 2014 turkey season (both in terms of gobbling activity and encounters), the tables turned for me on Sunday morning. I was trying a new spot at a hunt club I recently joined on Saturday and had located a big bird strutting with a hen in the middle of a soon to be planted corn field the day before. Unfortunately, I didn't locate him until 8:30 am that day and he.... Read More

I am searching for a igh hquality hunting club in or near Richland county. Ft. Jackson/Bluff Road or Broad River areas prefered. I am a safe and ethical trophy deer and turkey hunter who also enjoys hunting ducks, doves, hogs and coyotes.
The Broad River continues to run high after all the rain that fell in the past month or so, but Mike McSwain of Broad River Smallmouth (843-763-3805) said the bite is still strong. He has had to look harder for the fish on some days, but he said he has found them each trip.
