161# 9 Point
Rob Harding took this nice South Carolina Lowcountry whitetail with the bow on Sept 24th 2013. He slid an arrow right behind the shoulder and the buck barely made it 40 yards.

Great Buck and Great Shot Rob!

Go get another one, while they are walking :)

Took my first ever deer with a bow opening day. 3 came out and I took this 11 point which was almost a 12 at 43 yards.

Big thanks to ButcherBoy's Processing in Summerville for comming in late to process the deer.

Also it's my understanding that this is the first buck taken over Stiffy's Wildgame Feed they came right to it, this stuff really works!

Here is a GREAT Shot that I took with my Nikon, that I should have taken with my PSE. I had an opportunity to spend some time in the woods, hiking and shooting with the Nikon, so I snuck out and got some shots of the Elk in western North Carolina. This one turned out to be a GREAT Shot ~

Biggest deer I ever shot with a Bow. I got on the stand on 10-16-11 at 5:15pm, I shot him at 5:45pm about 15 yards away from my stand. Eight Point 130 pounds. What a thrill to stick a nice 8 point with my bow. I can't wait to get back in the stand and look for his big brother!

Great Shooting Del ~

  • Rabbit bowhunters in 2009
Bowhunting is just for deer and pigs right? The Bowhunters of SC have held an archery bow hunt for bunnies for over 20 years. A small beagle pack is turned out and off we go. This event is strongly oriented toward getting our youth out in the field for their first bow hunting experience and whet their appetite for big game hunting. This event is alway held the first saturday in February. email....  Read More

  • First 'Doe with a Bow.'
Missy's first with a bow. She started this summer while her husband was deployed with the Air Force and raising my two grand daughters. While being transfered to Florida they were able to spend a short time at home and baged her first 'DOE WITH A BOW,' the day before they left. She's not too big, but Missy was extremely excited when she got this one. She say's she can't wait till next year.

What a night to remember- Donnie Simpson of Spartanburg had a great day getting two gator tags filled and shooting fish all night long. Donnie operates scriverratoutfitters.com ,and he knows how to get it done. Donnie says he does things a little different than most. He uses his big light when he is persuing gator. One thing he says- you better be ready because the gator will sink to the bottom,....  Read More

An easy way to find your arrow after the shot,in the late evening, hopefully its sticking in the ground after pass through, or kicked out later, just put a 1/4' piece of reflective tape behind the fletch, you can see you arrow after dark with a light. Did you know an illuminated nock will disqualify a Pope and Young entry? Anything electric on your bow will too, even a mounted camera.

Are you hunting with too much weight? A good way to find out is sit in a chair with you bow, pick your feet up off the floor and draw. If you can draw easily, you have a good bow weight. With modern compounds you really don't need over 60lbs anymore, you don't need to stick the arrow deeper in the ground when it blows through an animal. The lighter the pull the more accurate you are.
